So I've just been browsing the net, as you do. I was looking for a bit of history relating to past local photographers and came across this quote which I thought was very apt:
"The photographer who is also an artist has a great advantage over the photographer who is merely a mechanic."
How true, anyone can point a camera (or phone) at something and press the shutter button and take a snap shot, but a true photographer will craft the image.
